While enjoying superb tastings, guests can view the late winter sunset and New York City skyline for Conference Center in University Hall on the Montclair State University campus. The address of Montclair State is One Normal Avenue, Montclair, N.J.
Tickets for The Taste of Montclair cost $60 a person and they are selling rapidly. The price includes complimentary parking at Montclair State’s Red Hawk Parking deck and shuttle transportation to University Hall. Individuals and groups are asked to purchase their tickets online on Eventbrite.
In discussing The Taste of Montclair, the Montclair Rotary’s Event Chair Joseph Solano said, “This is Montclair’s one-of-a-kind culinary festival that recognizes all those talented and innovative men and women who have transformed our town in to one of the top dining destinations in the Garden State. You’ll want to be here for the appetizing food, fun, and friendship as we all sample our community’s wonderful cuisine and bid farewell to winter.”
All of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to three nonprofit organizations that provide meals and non-perishable food items to individuals and families facing tough times. The Rotary plans to donate over $15,000 and those funds will be divided between the Human Needs Food Pantry, Toni’s Kitchen, and Salvation Army Montclair Citadel. Taken together, these programs help feed and provide food to hundreds of people, from children to the elderly, each week.
In addition to exceptional cuisine, The Taste of Montclair will feature live music and specialty beverage called “Azariah Crane Cocktail,” which has been concocted by Warren Bobrow, a noted mixologist and chef. Known as the Cocktail Whisperer, Mr. Bobrow’s concept drink is a tribute to one of the first white settlers of “the Mountain,” when the area was still a Royal Colony.
