Yes, this is an actual photo of the very top layer of my composter. The colours are beautiful and I thought what better image to start off a weekly photo blog on composting that with something so colourful. Each Saturday morning look for something new that I've discovered "It's Compostable."
Before everyone gets all in my face about sauteeing these babies, or running them through the juicer, I should point out that these were discards found on the ground at the Montclair Farmers' Market. Hipsters most likely stepped on them.
