The Fabulous Beekman Boys Will Be All Over The Tee Vee Machine This Fall
The Fabulous Beekman Boys are, well, fabulous and starting 20 September 2012 they'll be coming into homes across America twice every week.
On Thursday 20 September at 10pm EDT Cooking Channel will premier the Fabulous Beekman Boys. In this series two Manhattanites move to a 200 year old farm in upstate New York and discover that the live of the gentleman farmer is not as simple as they expected. Think of it as a modern "Green Acres" with Josh and Brent both cast in the role of Oliver and a diva llama called "PolkaSpot" as Lisa. There'll be goats, and cheese, and farm festivals and, well let's just say that it will be fabulous.
Then on 30 September, John and Brent compete in a race around the world on The Amazing Race. Premiering on CBS at 8pm EDT. The Amazing Race has won countless Emmys.
In addition to reality television, the Beekman Boys are accomplished foodies and farmers. The cheese from their farm receives praise and accolades wherever it is sold. The goat milk soaps and dry goods inspired by discoveries at their farm are available in some speciality stores around the country and have a knack of selling out quickly. Of course one of my favorite Beekman items is their cookbook.
My review of The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook is on Hot From The Kettle.
So save the dates - television is going to be fabulous this season.
