First Monday In October : Opening Day For The Supremes

The new session of the Supreme Court opens on the First Monday in October as required by law. The Constitution being the Law Of The Land, it is here that appeals that have made their way through the rest of the legal system are argued before the Supreme Court justices to determine if the local, state, and even Federal decision that were passed down square with the Constitution.

Landmark decisions, including changing the voting age to 18 to match the age of the draft, access to equal public education, and countless free speech decisions have been made by the Justices of the Supreme Court.

So let’s give it up for the Supremes!
