Bonne Poisson d’Avril

Bonne Poisson d’Avril

I'm not entirely sure why April Fool's Day in Quebec
 is called Poisson d’Avril
but the idea of doing something
 completely immature with fish
 does have a stinky,
yet entirely funny appeal to me!

It's called "Poisson d'Avril" because when the calendar was changed from Gregorian to Julian, April 1st used to be the New Year and so people who still called April 1st New Years Day are April Fools, or April Fish (in French) because Fish are dumb.
