Blink. The First Episode I Ever Saw Of #DrWho

The Weeping Angels (also known as the Lonely Assassins) are an ancient race of aliens from the Doctor Who television series. Their usual mode of feeding is to send their victims back in time, which creates time energy to feed on. When they are not being observed by another being, they can move very quickly and silently, but when they are being observed they become "quantum-locked", occupying a single position in space, becoming stone. In this state, they are frozen and difficult to destroy. They cannot suppress this reaction. If two Weeping Angels were to look at each other at the same time (or one were to look at a mirror), they would be trapped in stone form until an outside force moves them apart. To prevent this, they often cover their eyes while moving - this makes them look like they are weeping.

The episode "Blink" was the first episode I ever saw of Doctor Who. It was a random channel surfing accident and I've made appointments with the Doctor ever since.

A First Look At De Novo In Upper Montclair

When Demetri Malki’s De Novo opens this weekend in the space that, at one time, would have been the waiting area of the Upper Montclair Train Station, the local food scene is expected to stop in it’s tracks.

Caldwell Restaurant Week Was A Hit! Let's Do It Again!

The first ever Caldwell Restaurant Week ran from Sunday, August 10th through Sunday, August 17th, 2014 and was a huge success. Most of the borough’s restaurants joined the fun with special prix-fixe menus that showcased the culinary diversity of this West Essex community. Caldwell’s restaurant and food scene has been a well guarded secret in the Garden State but Devil Gourmet looked to change all of tha. The event was the brainchild of Devil Gourmet John Lee.

Devil Gourmet was the official media sponsor of Caldwell Restaurant Week.

Lee explained that the idea for Caldwell Restaurant Week came about while dining at Xunta-Tapas Espana. It was a snowy day and “none of the locals” as John calls them, “were out on the road, except for us Californians.” With few people in the restaurant, Xunta owner Carmen Mendez chatted with John whose “why not” attitude is infectious. One thing led to another and Caldwell’s first restaurant week was created.
